2021 Q4 Newsletter
A Note from the COO
As for the company, we were well-prepared to cater in terms of the digitalisation support and physical activities. All thanks to the team’s hard work and effort that we could adapt faster to the new norm.
One of the best highlights that I would like to mention was that we have been recognised as the Number 1 Local Direct Selling Company in Malaysia by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs towards the end of last year. The award that was presented to us in November was a very good booster for team MediSavers to work harder in providing only the best InsurTech protections to all Malaysians.
MediSavers’s Above and Beyond Digital Transformation
Striving to become the leading InsurTech company in Malaysia, MediSavers has been constantly improving and upgrading our digitalisation effort over the past few years. As we head towards that direction, the hard-working people from Tech Team and Social Media & Digital Marketing team are working zealously to ensure this transformation is done impeccably to serve our advisors and members.
The teams are constantly working on new ways to provide a seamless and efficient support for our members and advisors digitally as this effort will help us to stand out in the InsurTech industry. To Above and Beyond, off we go!
On another note, I would like to urge everyone to get fitter and healthier because a healthy lifestyle will lead to a healthy mind. Last but not least, as we are all ready and excited to welcome Chinese New Year, please remember to adhere to strict SOPs and stay vigilant wherever you are. Gong Xi Fa Cai to those who are celebrating and let’s be an aggressive tiger to achieve your dreams and more success this year.
Thank you and stay safe!
To Above and Beyond! What it means?
As we usher in the new year, we are happy to adopt the new theme that will be our new motivation in heading towards the right direction. This year, Above And Beyond is used to inspire our team from the WOW-star employees to the advisors to deliver something beyond expectation in whatever they are doing.
At MediSavers, we are creating a culture of delivering something extra to whoever we are serving, thus the theme Above And Beyond is also deemed as our transformation to become a better insurance provider in the InsurTech industry.
Defy the Norms and Be Exceptional
We have assembled few marketing campaigns in 2021 and we are thrilled to see the successful results especially for our Skim Subsidi Perlindungan Medikal (SSPM) campaign that was running for two months in the fourth quarter of the year. In essence, we managed to create successful campaigns because we dare to be aggressive and defy the norms in marketing our products offering to the market.
In order for a company to continuously grow, creativity is something that we need to drive us heading towards the start-up culture. Even though MediSavers has turned 23, we are willing to adapt the start-up culture in the company to drive us reaching great momentum. In order for us to maintain the excitement for our target markets, we will continue to be aggressive and creative in creating something innovative for the advisors and members.
Flood Aid Donation
During the end of last year, thousands of people in Klang Valley and some states in Malaysia were hit by a tragic flood tragedy that has left them with massive loss including personal belongings and the loss of life.
Saddened by the disastrous event, MediSavers has provided immediate relief and extended help to the rescuers as well as residents of the affected area in Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam. To alleviate their burden, we had prepared and supplied multiple flood aids consist of dry food and essential hygiene items to the affected victims and the unsung heroes.
Furthermore, MediSavers had also collaborated with the Malaysian Direct Distribution Association (MDDA) and contributed essential needs such as mattresses and pillows to the flood victims. This initiative was made to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) and was distributed to the affected victims accordingly.
Not forgetting the private medical clinics who were also affected by the severe flood incident, MediSavers had donated RM5,000 flood fund to the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) Foundation to help the medical practitioners and clinic owners recover from their losses.
There will be more interesting upcoming events to be organised in 2022 as part of our CSR projects. One of the events is planned to grow our CSR fund substantially so that we could extend our hands to help more underprivileged people in the future. Stay tuned to find out more about our forthcoming CSR efforts!
